Hourglass Forge started as a knife and chopping board workshop, and I still love making pieces for people who want something a bit different from the shops!

Every piece starts with a chat about what it's for, then I choose a blade, handle timber and finish to suit.

How an oyster knife is made

One piece, start to finish.

  1. Rough steel blanks cut to the knife shape, covered in rust
